Dr. Patrick Hyatt, a therapeutic endoscopist and gastroenterologist in Baltimore, Maryland, is Director of the Heartburn Center of The Melissa L. Posner Institute for Digestive Health and Liver Disease. In this position, Dr. Patrick Hyatt and his colleague, Dr. Scott Huber, diagnose and treat heartburn by studying the function of the esophagus. Thorough and regular examination of the esophagus is necessary to detect esophageal cancer as early as possible. In addition to general care, Dr. Patrick Hyatt offers cancer and surgical treatment in cooperation with The Institute of Cancer Care at Mercy Medical Center.
Patrick Hyatt, M.D., participated in the Brown University Fellowship Program, focusing on gastroenterology, from 2003 to 2006. Dr. Hyatt fulfilled his residency in Internal Medicine at Brown University from 2000 to 2003, and he earned his Doctor of Medicine from Temple University School of Medicine in Philadelphia. Dr. Patrick Hyatt completed his Pre-Medicine studies at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, and before that earned dual Bachelor’s degrees in biology and government from Franklin and Marshall College in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
Dr. Patrick Hyatt is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and is a member of the American Gastroenterological Association, the American College of Gastroenterology, and the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. Dr. Patrick Hyatt has given multiple presentations at Brown University and at Mercy Medical Center’s 1st Annual Consensus and Controversies in Gastroenterology and Hepatology.
